Many things happen in the lives of an artist. And all here can agree that hearing that you can't use your creativity as your means for payment, that 'art' is not to be considered as your full time job, etc, is one of the worst things to say to an artist.
Don't worry, it's not family and friends that scream our passionate spirits to the ground. Moreover, it is society. I'm sure you all are thinking, "But the world is what is telling us to take charge of our lives, be ourselves, we are unique, etc."

et I ask you, why is it hard to artists to actually make art there career? The ones who 'make it' have to give away 8+ years of their time, energy and money to "A College Education" in order for anyone to look at them for a job.
So the world is really wanting artist who are 30 years old? No longer jumping out of their skin to draw and paint because they wasted all their energy at school?
So I ask you, if art is my career, why do I have to get a piece of paper that says "I'm now in debt and hopefully know something else about *name subject* to finally be looked at for a possible job in my field"?
Aren't there people in the world willing to help others learn a 'trade'? Giving people a chance to get there foot in the door WITHOUT having to spend their lives in a classroom?
Please, I'm not wanting to say I'm better than anyone else cause I'm not wasting my life at college. Don't get me wrong, college is great for some people, just not all people. Some can't afford it time or money wise.
I just want to know, why is it so hard for an artist to get their name out there? What is it we have to do?
