If you haven't heard of Inktober, that's ok. I knew nothing about it a few weeks ago myself. A friend had posted on Facebook about the Inktober challenge and I couldn't help myself but to plan to do it. I got geared up, made sure I had enough pens and inks, a fresh notebook, then all I had to do was white knuckle it till October first.
Don't worry, I was doing other art while I was waiting, but I didn't want to do any ink drawings (unless I was doodling) for fear of 'using an idea' before it's time.
Inktober is where you draw one ink drawing a day for the whole month of October. In the end, you will have 31 original drawings, have betting ink experience, and have set a habit to daily draw. Once I realized that was all that there was to it, I got excited fast!
So now my gallery will be busting with ink drawing for a while, and so far (since it's day 2) I am Loving it! I draw in the morning, and then when I'm at work I can't stop thinking about getting to bed and go to sleep so that I can wake up and draw some more!
Hehe…some of us are just meant to be artists.
It's not to late to start! I know that you can do every other day if that's easier for you or more convenient. And you can do a once a week if need be. As for me, I am greatly looking forward to see 31 images that slowly progress in my style, quality of work, and all the different things that I can think of!
Have fun this Inktober! I know I will!
